What began as a simple mission trip became a lifelong calling. At just 21 years old, David traveled to Guatemala to serve on a Mission trip and soon felt God calling him to return and dedicate his life to ministry. He stepped out in faith without a clear roadmap of how it would all unfold.

In 2014, Uplifting Ministries was founded with a vision to create pathways of hope through education, physical outreach, and spiritual growth.

In 2017, Catherine from Switzerland met David in Guatemala during her travels. Through witnessing the ministry firsthand, she fell in love not only with the mission but also with Christ Himself. What began as a visit turned into a calling of her own. The two were married in 2020 and, since 2024, have been serving full-time together through Uplifting Ministries.

Leaving behind their former lives in Switzerland and Kentucky, they chose to dedicate everything to serving the people of Guatemala.
 

Their ability to remain on the mission field depends entirely on the generosity and partnership of supporters who believe in the vision and work God is doing through Uplifting Ministries.
